After interviewing many Toppers of several competitive examinations like the PUC and CET, we have coupled up all the new valuable points to be remembered by a student to score well in their own tests. These points will also give a student an idea to become brilliant at their work at school. Here are a few guidelines given by the toppers.
1.It is utmost important to concentrate, and listen to what the teacher has to say. Whether the teacher is good or bad, it shouldn’t matter. We should be ready to take what ever the teacher offers to give us. If the teacher isn’t able to explain a point, try and think what might be the outcome of the theory, yourself.
2.The whole point of education is to learn, not just to get good grades. The more you understand the topic, more will be your brilliance over others. So try to reffer several books to broaden your mind.
3.To make complicated things easier, it is always a good practise to read through what the teacher has taught in the previous classes before you go to his next class. This is one of the most important point that was given by the toppers.
4.Make your environment study friendly.
Sit next to the students who actually care about their studies and career. This doesn’t mean that you should sit next to students who take studies extremely serious and end up getting yourself landed in extreme stress and strain. Student life is not just about memorizing books.
5.Each topper has a different studying method. Make sure you try them all to find the best one which suits you. Many students write notes while reading and read through them just before the exams and score extremely well. Some students underline the main points in the textbook. But the most easiest and effective way was to read from their classwork notes, this would easily give a student a score of 70% and above.
6.Make sure you attend all the classes or else you will lag behind.
When studying for your exams read the syllabus for the exams very carefully. If you are sure to have a choice in your exams, selective study works well. But, it is a good practice to read through all the portions if possible.
7.Group Study never works!!! , it is important for a student to learn to be independent in his life, whether in studies or anything else.
8.It is important for a student to recognize his talent, atleast at the age of 18.If he hasn’t done so, he must attend counsellings from other people or people in his family. Once the student has recognized his talent, he must keep his goal in sight and make sure that what ever happens the path to his goal shall not be disturbed.
